Last week saw my last gig take place with Troubadour for the year, I’ve had such an enjoyable summer with the boys performing in many different places. I’ve been so lucky to visit some beautiful places and perform in cracking theatre onboard Cunard, P&O & SAGA cruise lines. Almost scary to think that those type of venues are actually on a ship! I can’t wait to get back with the boys in the new year and continue to do what I’ve loved doing this year on land and at sea!
Now it’s almost time to head to pantoland with my pal Charlie Richmond who I’m lucky to work alongside with in my forth pantomime at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House. I’m starting to feel like part of the furniture there now, which is great. Charlie is great, and playing Buttons this year. I’ve known him for years, even long before my days in panto, and he’s just hilarious offstage as he is onstage! We’re both turning on Gateshead Trinity Square christmas lights tomorrow night (22nd November), and attending St Oswalds Hospice christmas market on Saturday (24th November), both great events that we also took part in last year.
The stars in the show include Maureen Nolan as our fairy godmother, yes, A NOLAN, A SINGING LEGEND! We all met each other at the Cinderella press launch a couple of months back, and I happened to stay in touch with Maureen, she’s so lovely, and I think our region is going to love her while she’s here for christmas. We met up in Blackpool while I was gigging there about 3 weeks ago, and I just know she will be my ‘panto mam’ this year. Jamie Lambert from Collabro plays Prince Charming, again, a cracking chap, I sense a few nights out on the toon with this one, and I’m looking forward to being his right hand man in the show. Lola Saunders from X Factor is Cinderella, I’ve known her a lot of years, she’s going to be a great Cinderella, and not forgetting Connor Byrne AKA Mike from Tracy Beaker & The Dumping Ground as Baron Hardup. I literally grew up watching Tracy Beaker, and now I’m starring in a panto with Mike the careworker! I’m so excited to be starring in the show with this great lineup.
That leads me onto tell you to buy your tickers now, it’s going to be fantastic, and very magical!!
Cinderella runs 7th – 30th December at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House in Newcastle. Tickets can be purchased at http://tynetheatreandoperahouse.uk/events/enchanted-entertainment-present-cinderella/
